As you plan your upcoming travels and look forward to visiting other yacht clubs or club locations, we want to remind you about the process for utilizing reciprocity.
Please ensure you call your club of choice at least 48 hours in advance (sooner if possible) to inform them that you are a member of the La Playa Yacht Club, which is part of the Yachting Club of America (ycaol.com). Your membership card that you have received (upon renewal) has your login and password.
In addition to confirming your visit, if you plan on eating or drinking at that location, please verify their accepted payment methods. Specifically, confirm that you can use cash or a credit card to pay. Some clubs only accept payment from their own members or utilize a “bill back” system to other clubs. Please note that La Playa Yacht Club is not set up for bill back, as we do not have a restaurant or the capability to process high-volume charges and manage invoicing for these transactions. While the majority of clubs can make accommodations and accept credit cards or cash, it has recently come to our attention that some do not.
As always, please remember that when you visit another club, you represent all of us. Thank you for your continued courtesy, respect, and for being such wonderful ambassadors for La Playa Yacht Club wherever your travels take you.
